Regional Development Conference Held in St. Anthony

On November 15th-18th 2016, local leaders in the Northern Peninsula gathered for a conference on regional development called “Our Way Forward: Sharing Knowledge and Building Capacity for Regional Development“. Co-organized by the Town of St. Anthony and the Grenfell Office of Engagement, this conference focused on how communities in the Northern Peninsula can build on local assets and strengths to find new ways forward for the region. With conference themes including regional governance, fisheries and the Port, tourism, and entrepreneurship/innovation, the conference was attended by over 100 people and provided a platform for regional collaboration and participatory planning to guide future regional development.
